    Job Title: Tool and Die Maker Shift: 1st

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our team on the 1st shift. This role involves setting up milling fixtures and tooling according to work instructions, building and repairing molds and machining fixtures, and troubleshooting tooling and wax injection molds. You will also be responsible for implementing process improvements to reduce setups and run times, as well as reading and comprehending blueprints and work instructions.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate 3-axis CNC mill.

    + Operate Bridgeports, manual lathes, and surface grinders.

    + Apply knowledge of GD&T protocols.

    + Troubleshoot tooling and wax injection molds.

    + Build and repair molds and machining fixtures.

    + Implement process improvements to reduce setups and run times.

    + Read and comprehend blueprints and work instructions.

    Essential Skills

    + Journeyman T&D Maker Certification OR 8+ years of equivalent experience.

    + Direct Tool & Die experience working on tooling.

    + Set up and operation of 3-axis CNC mills.

    + Operation of Bridgeport and surface grinders.

    + Blueprint reading.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Tooling repair expertise.

    + Knowledge of machining, tooling, die repair, grinder, manual mill, and die making.

    Work Environment

     

    You will work on the 1st shift from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm in a clean and temperature-controlled machine shop equipped with large machines. Our facility includes a molding department, foundry, casting, and NDT, ensuring a diverse and engaging work environment. While performing your duties, you may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level can be loud, and the work area may have elevated temperatures.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Willoughby, Ohio.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.

     

    • Machine Shop is climate controlled.

    o Primarily aerospace, automotive, a few commercial parts

    o Big parts, single piece set up, not a piece work

    o Companies been in business 1945, private owned company, non union, super busy, cant get parts out the door fast enough, 2 million dollar a year company

    o Safety boot reimbursement

    o Overtime available

    o PTO

    o Bescast will reimburse your COBRA coverage if enrolled ($400.00 after you have paid directly to the provider) until you are eligible to participate in the Bescast benefit program (1st day of the month following your initial 60-days of employment).
