Job Title: Production Line Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Line Associate to ensure the effective operation of our production line, meeting company goals related to production, budget, quality, safety, and waste management. Under the guidance of the Production Manager, you will work at a steady pace on a continually moving production line, multitasking across different assignments while maintaining focus on your surroundings. This role requires adapting to various work assignments, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to safety and Good Manufacturing guidelines. Collaboration in a supportive team environment is essential to achieve production quality and quantity standards, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

+ Set up the production line, manage product changeovers, and adjust package sizes and line equipment.

+ Operate processing, filling, and packaging production line equipment.

+ Perform quality inspections of products and packs, including visual checks of raw materials, caps, labels, date codes, weights, packaging, and seals.

+ Monitor the line team's work activities to ensure effective production line operation, meeting production needs and quality standards while minimizing downtime and practicing waste control.

+ Process inventory control transactions using SAP and accurately complete all necessary paperwork.

+ Conduct allergen cleanup and daily housekeeping duties in the work area.

+ Assist in training employees on line equipment operation and company processes.

+ Support and develop team members while demonstrating dependability and care for your work.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read and write clearly and effectively.

+ Capability to work well with others in a team setting.

+ Dependability and ability to get along with others.

+ Experience in industrial or production environments.

+ Ability to remain on feet for 12-hour shifts while being attentive to machinery.

+ Proficiency in general labor, machine operation, and troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in warehouse production, loading, and packing.

Work Environment

Work indoors in a clean environment with air conditioning, where the air is filled with the scent of seasonings. Compliance with food manufacturing safety standards is necessary, including wearing PPE. Shift schedules are: **2nd shift from 2:30pm to 11pm, and 3rd shift from 10:30pm to 7am** , all including breaks and lunch.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gretna, Louisiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
