    **Position Title:** Heavy Equipment Operator

    **Compensation:** $25–$30 per hour (paid weekly)

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team for commercial construction projects. This role involves operating a variety of heavy machinery and supporting the installation of underground utilities for new construction developments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Operate heavy equipment on active commercial construction sites.

    + Install underground utilities including trenching, pipe laying, backfilling, and grading.

    + Perform general construction labor as needed to support project progress.

    + Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    + Proven ability to cut grades to within ±0.10’.

    + Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

    + Experience operating loaders, skid steers, and track hoes.

    + Skilled in using levels and lasers for grade setting.

    Additional Requirements:

    + **Mandatory Meetings:** Weekly team meetings every Monday morning in Calhan, CO.

    + **Work Area:** Projects primarily located between Castle Rock and Pueblo, CO.

    Work Schedule:

    + **Standard Hours:** Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

    + **Extended Hours:** Monday–Saturday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (as needed)

    + **Typical Workweek:** 40 hours, with potential for 45–50 hours depending on weather and project demands.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $62400.00/yr.

     

    Most benefits offered below start at the employee's 90 day employment date.

     

    Primary Care benefit - (not health insurance, no major medical - covers primary care only) $79/month per person. The employee coverage is paid after one year of service. Employees must pay for any dependents.

     

    Life Insurance - term/$150,000 - paid by Employer.

     

    Retirement - offered through the Colorado SecureSavings program, 5% of gross wages, no company match.

     

    Vacation - one week paid after 1 year of service. two weeks after 2 years of service.

     

    Paid holidays - Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day.

     

    Sick Time - effective upon employment, Colorado standards - 1 hour for every 30 worked, up to a max of 48 hours/year. No carry over.
