    Job Title: Shop Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled equipment mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems. This role requires a strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatic systems and electrical skill. With excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The candidate will be responsible for diesel repair on large trucks, fleet trucks, and heavy equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system diagnostics.

    + Diagnose and troubleshoot engine and system issues using diagnostic tools and software.

    + Repair or replace faulty components such as fuel injectors, turbochargers, and exhaust systems.

    + Complete full engine tear downs, repairs, and replacements.

    + Conduct inspections and tests to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Diesel mechanic experience.

    + Ability to read blueprints.

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostics.

    + Experience in repair and engine repair.

    + Diesel technician skills.

    + Knowledge of electrical systems and schematics.

    + Understanding of construction, diesel, hydraulics, welding, and fabrication.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role.

    + Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components.

    + Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

    Work Environment

     

    The shop technician will work in the shop and may occasionally need to travel to job sites. The work environment is primarily first shift weekdays.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
