Job Title: MIG Welder

Job Description

As a MIG Welder, you will specialize in pipe welding on mild, stainless, and cast iron materials, primarily using open root techniques. You will utilize Lincoln and Miller welders while working off blueprints. This position requires fitting, grinding, material handling, measuring, and fabricating, ensuring all welds are pressure tested. This role is not limited to production welding; you will perform a variety of tasks that involve true fabrication work.

Responsibilities

+ Perform MIG pipe welding on mild, stainless, and cast iron materials using open root techniques.

+ Utilize Lincoln and Miller welding equipment.

+ Work off blueprints to ensure precision in welding tasks.

+ Conduct fitting, grinding, material handling, and measuring.

+ Engage in true fabrication work beyond standard production welding.

+ Ensure all welds are pressure tested for quality assurance.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in MIG welding with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Strong skills in fabrication and pipe welding.

+ Experience in working with mild steel, flux core, and stick welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 5 years of experience in blueprint reading and fabrication.

+ Capability to perform fitting tasks.

Work Environment

Work during 1st shift hours from 4:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, with occasional 10-hour shifts on Fridays. The shop features a spacious open-concept welding area with 5-6 welders, ensuring a collaborative and non-restrictive workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Evansville, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
