UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with at least 10-years of experience to support the development and implementation of workflow-based software systems designed to streamline critical municipal operations including permitting, inspections, infrastructure maintenance, and asset management. This role will be essential in gathering requirements, documenting processes, and ensuring high-quality system delivery across a suite of enterprise applications. Must be prepared to work onsite in New York City from day one.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

+ BA/BS Degree or equivalent in a technology-related or other relevant field

+ 10+ years of Business Analysis experience specifying, analyzing, and documenting requirements for mission-critical web/client-server applications

+ Effective presentation, facilitation, and leadership skills

+ Knowledge of various application development tools, environments, and methodologies

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across executive, management, and technical teams

+ Highly analytical and solution-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities

+ Experience gathering requirements through multiple methods including interviews, workshops, and systems documentation

+ Familiarity with SDLC methodologies including Waterfall, RUP, and Agile

+ Experience creating functional and non-functional requirements and transforming Business Requirements into Technical Specifications

+ Ability to accurately estimate and manage workload to meet delivery commitments

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

The Senior Business Analyst will:

+ Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for enterprise technology projects

+ Use techniques such as workflow analysis, data flow modeling, and decomposition to break down business needs

+ Create process maps, requirements documents, business rules, user stories, use cases, wireframes, and acceptance criteria

+ Engage with business users and subject matter experts to validate requirements and support testing

+ Translate complex business issues into understandable technical requirements and documentation

+ Prepare thorough test plans and conduct acceptance testing in collaboration with QA teams

+ Identify and report defects, and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner

+ Act as liaison between business, technical, and support teams to ensure shared understanding and successful delivery

+ Collaborate with developers to define the technical vision and ensure alignment with usability and performance needs

+ Support post-deployment monitoring, user feedback collection, and performance optimization

+ Lead and participate in meetings with internal teams and stakeholders

+ Ensure consistency with project standards and documentation practices

+ Manage multiple tasks effectively and contribute to long-term system improvements
