    Job Summary:

    As the Director of Quality, you will lead all aspects of the Quality function at your assigned location, ensuring alignment with The Company’s Vision, Mission, and Goals. You will be responsible for the performance, compliance, continuous improvement, and strategic integration of the Quality Management System (QMS), while providing leadership to the Quality team. This role requires cross-functional collaboration to support manufacturing excellence, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. You will also serve as the company’s representative during audits and quality-related engagements with customers and suppliers.

    Job Duties:

    + Establish, implement, and maintain the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.

    + Lead the certification process for ISO and other quality-related standards.

    + Ensure continual improvement and compliance of the QMS across departments.

    + Develop and manage QMS documentation, policies, and procedures.

    + Conduct and manage Corrective Action Request (CARs) and Nonconformance Reports (NCRs), both internal and supplier related.

    + Track audit performance metrics and drive resolution of systemic issues.

    + Interface with all company personnel on all quality matters, including QMS-related training and performance monitoring (metrics-focused).

    • Manage the Quality team including inspectors, auditors, and technicians.

    • Provide QMS-related training and education to employees.

    • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    • Engage with customers on satisfaction, compliance issues, and quality-related meetings or audits.

    • Represent the company in QA/QC program evaluations, questionnaires, and during client assessments.

    • Support Supply Chain with supplier audits, quality surveys, and maintaining the Approved Suppliers List (ASL).

    + Support cost estimating for quality-related elements in bids and project planning.

    + Develop, implement, analyze and provide action plans for improvement for Cost of Poor-Quality Program, Quality Objectives for Manufacturing Departments, and Manufacturing Department Metrics.

    + Monitor and report quality metrics (CoPQ, defect rates, audit findings) and present data to leadership.

    • Approve QA/QC-related expenditure and capital needs.

    • Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain active participation in relevant industry groups.

    • Drive 5S, Lean, and other continuous improvement activities within the facility.

    • Ensure cross-departmental alignment on improvement goals and quality initiatives.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field required

    • Minimum five years of experience in a QA/QC leadership role required

    • Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing environment required

    • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and related standards; experience leading or maintaining certification required

    • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, customer specifications, and quality documentation required

    • Familiarity with ERP and quality management software systems required

    • Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills required

    • Knowledge of inspection tools, quality control methods, and calibration requirements required

    • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required

    • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required

    • Ability to stoop and bend required

    • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time required

    • Alignment with company core values required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in engineering or a related field preferred

    • Four years of audit experience preferred

    • QMS Auditor/Lead Auditor certification preferred

    • Experience supporting external customer audits and formal supplier quality programs preferred

    • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies preferred
