Minimum qualifications:
+ PhD in Nutrition, and specialized training in sports nutrition, or cardiometabolic health, as demonstrated by completion of accredited residency, fellowship, equivalent certification, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 5 years of experience in consumer-focused digital health research and product development focused on consumer health.
+ 5 years of experience driving projects of high complexity, in various environments, with cross-functional teams.
+ 1 year of experience with AI in a research or health setting.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Certification in Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD).
+ Experience in taking a consumer focused health or wellness product from concept to market.
+ Experience in digital health evaluation and clinical research including experience designing and conducting real-world evaluations.
+ Experience with research in Generative AI, including safety approaches and peer-reviewed publications.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Recognition as a regional or national leader in sports nutrition or cardiometabolic health.
As a Clinical Specialist you will be an effective and influential contributor to our work, you will develop intelligent and intuitive tools that help improve health journeys for users.
You are highly experienced in working cross-functionally, ideally with experience in working with non-clinical teams such as software design, engineering, product management, regulatory affairs and research teams. You will have a demonstrable background working as a doctor of nutrition with recognized expertise in clinical care and research specific to sports nutrition or cardiometabolic health, and digital health. Ideally, in addition to a clinical background you will have experience with consumer focused product development, generative AI and safety, conducting clinical research, and be recognized as a thought leader.
As a Clinical Specialist, you will work as part of the cross-functional team building personalized AI-powered health and wellness products to help people lead healthier and more active lives. You will use your clinical expertise to guide research and product development for the Fitbit and Pixel portfolio of trackers, smartwatches, and subscription experiences. You will help ensure the approach is grounded in scientific and clinical rigor and creates measurable value for people who want to use the products to help improve their fitness and performance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $146,000-$214,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Use clinical expertise to provide guidance, insights and direction for Google’s consumer products, particularly Pixel/Fitbit, work with research and product teams.
+ Leverage scientific and clinical expertise in nutrition science to design metrics, research studies and product requirements.
+ Identify relevant evidence-based practices and scientific break-throughs to define strategic priorities and new opportunities to help people improve health and wellbeing using sensors and software.
+ Contribute to the development of Generative AI products to enhance access to reliable and credible information.
