Responsibilities

Treasure Valley Hospital is seeking a skilled Plant Operations Technician for the swing shift who brings expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and basic construction skills. This position plays a key role in ensuring the hospital environment remains safe, functional, and compliance during off-peak hours. Candidates must have experience in a hospital or healthcare setting and be familiar with local building codes and Joint Commission standards.

Shift: 11 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday (subject to change based on facility needs)

Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

+ Carry out light construction tasks such as wall patching, painting, door hardware repair, and fixture replacement.

+ Respond to work orders and emergencies during the swing shift in a timely and professional manner.

+ Conduct and document preventive maintenance in compliance with hospital standards and regulatory guidelines.

+ Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, infection control policies, and life safety requirements.

Qualifications

+ Minimum 3 years of experience in hospital or commercial facility maintenance.

+ Solid understanding of building systems and basic construction practices.

+ Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards.

+ Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.

+ Dependable, self-directed, and effective working independently during swing shift hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ State-issued license or certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.

+ Experience with hospital BAS (Building Automation Systems).

+ Basic carpentry, drywall repair, and general handyman skills.
