The not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record services. Our large, quiet labor/birthing rooms are private and located away from other patient care areas. The private patient rooms on the 5th floor Medical/Surgical Department boast views from every window.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Ophthalmologist to join our team at Northern Montana Specialty Medical Center, a Rural Health Clinic located in Havre, MT. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services to a diverse patient population, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of eye diseases and conditions. This role is crucial in ensuring access to high-quality eye care for our rural community.

What you'll do

+ Conduct thorough eye examinations and diagnose various eye conditions.

+ Perform surgical procedures as needed, including cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment and laser procedures.

+ Prescribe corrective lenses and medications.

+ Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options.

+ Collaborate with other healthcare professionals

+ Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness.

Qualifications

+ Medical degree with specialization in Ophthalmology.

+ Valid medical license to practice in Montana.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Commitment to serving underserved populations.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
