Job Description
The Iowa Judicial Branch has an opening for a Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This position is located at the Iowa Judicial Branch building in Des Moines, Iowa. This is not a remote position.

The pay range for this position is $55,016.00 - $88,192.00 annually, paid on a bi-weekly basis. The starting salary is expected to be at the base of the pay range. Adjustments may be made if the successful applicant has relevant experience. This position is an FLSA exempt, non-contract position.
Summary
Responsible for specialized Human Resources (HR) functions and tasks within the HR Department to optimize support for the Iowa Judicial Branch's mission and values.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with leaders and managers to better understand the needs and execute the HR-related functions and tasks.
Coordinate assignments with internal and external stakeholders for efficient processing and appropriate resolution support.
Prepare and scrutinize HR documentation. Maintain physical and digital official documents and records.
Perform internal audits and HR data analysis, monitor HR metrics, and use the information to identify trends or issues and propose solutions, updates, or improvements.
Remain current and enforce federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance.
Implement HR best practices within Iowa Judicial Branch policies and procedures to support managers and stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned.

This is a non-merit position with the Iowa Judicial Branch. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section.
Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
The incumbent must meet the minimum requirements to qualify for the position.
+ Associate’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or a closely related field.
+ Two (2) years of professional experience in human resources.
Human Resources Certification is preferred.
Experience may be substituted with related education on the basis that successful completion of thirty (30) semester hours or academic equivalent equals one year of experience.
