Job Summary
We are currently seeking a **Business Process Analyst II** to support Battelle staff in **Columbus, OH.**
The Business Analyst at Battelle Memorial Institute will serve as a pivotal contributor to the success of the division by delivering data-driven insights, supporting program and project management, and advancing strategic initiatives. This role involves conducting in-depth business development analysis, monitoring real-world events, and leveraging all-source intelligence to provide actionable recommendations that inform decision-making. The Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between technical expertise and business objectives, to drive innovative solutions for complex challenges. Key contributions include assessing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring alignment with Battelle’s mission of translating scientific discovery into societal impact. This position demands a strategic mindset, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while supporting the organization’s commitment to technological advancement and collaboration.
Responsibilities
+ **Program and Project Management Support:** Assist in planning, tracking progress, managing risks, and ensuring programs and projects align with business objectives.
+ **Strategic Analysis:** Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and SWOT analysis to inform business strategy and decision-making.
+ **Business Development Analysis:** Identify and evaluate new business opportunities through financial analysis and business case development.
+ **External Event Evaluation:** Monitor and assess external events and trends (e.g., economic shifts, regulatory changes, industry developments) for their impact on the business.
+ **Data Analysis and Intelligence:** Collect, analyze, and synthesize data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights and enable informed decision-making.
+ **Requirements Management:** Document and manage business requirements, ensuring solutions meet stakeholder needs and are effectively implemented.
+ **Stakeholder Communication:** Facilitate collaboration and communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
+ **Change Management:** Support change initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, or strategies.
+ **Reporting:** Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and documentation to management and stakeholders.
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and maintain organizational alignment.
+ **Risk Management:** Identify and assess risks associated with projects or business initiatives, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.
+ **Financial Analysis:** Conduct budgeting, forecasting, or cost-benefit analysis to support business decisions.
Key Qualifications
+ Must be a U.S Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in International Relations, Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field.
+ 3-5 years of experience in all-source analysis, business analysis, project management, or a similar role.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, provide reports, and actionable recommendations.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
+ Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., requirements gathering, process modeling, data analysis).
+ Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software is required.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
+ Good oral and written communications skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Top Secret/SCI
+ Knowledge of DoD, commercial industry or IC is preferred.
+ Prior experience working with Analytic Exploitation Teams (AETs)
+ Background in Intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR)
+ The ability to conduct Financial Analysis, conduct budgeting, forecasting, or cost-benefit analysis to support business decisions.
