Description:

Summary:

Provide front counter service to customers, including taking food and beverage orders. Prepare requested items, work with the fellow employees to ensure orders are properly prepared in a timely manner, and efficiently manage the point of sale system.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

+ Maintain knowledge of all menu options, take orders, and serve the prepared items to the guests

+ Provide legendary Starbucks service throughout every guest encounter

+ Prepare drink orders according to Starbucks standards

+ Manage cash bank, ensuring balance is accurate at the end of the shift

+ Check in warehouse orders and put items away in a timely manner according to procedure, utilizing proper signage

+ Ensure adequate supplies are available for the shift, including ribbons, comp paper, cash drop envelopes and receipt paper

+ Retain receipts for all transactions, and records and reconciles transactions on the point of sale system

+ Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employees

+ Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

+ Previous cash handling and customer service experience

+ 6 months of previous experience working in high volume, fast-paced restaurant or coffeehouse environment preferred

+ Previous experience working in a team or group environment

+ Prior experience with Infogenesis systems preferred

+ Able to effectively communication in English, both written and verbal

+ Basic computer skills preferred

+ At least 18 years of age

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

+ Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

+ Frequently push and/or pull up to 35 lbs.

+ Frequently lift and/or carry up to 35 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and/or chest levels

+ Occasionally squat, kneel, climb, sit, and communicate via radio

+ Frequently distinguish between shades of color, taste, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity

+ Constant use of hearing and vision, walking, and standing
