Fluidra ’s looking for a Global Product Manager – Filters and Valves to join our team!
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
We are seeking a strategic and driven Global Product Manager to lead the development and lifecycle management of our global product line of swimming pool filters & valves, meeting business goals and customer needs, globally. Key attitude is “Partner & Leader”.
The primary responsibility is to define and own the global product strategy and value propositions for the category, ensuring alignment with Company growth objectives and Market demands. Global PM will drive product development, manage the product portfolio, and foster innovation and operational excellence to achieve profitable revenue and market share growth while developing a sustainable competitive advantage. Additionally, you will:
Global Product Strategy & Product Development
+ Define and own the global product strategy for the category.
+ Develop and maintain 1–4-year category roadmap & research pipeline, integrating input from key stakeholders.
+ Lead the development of New Product Development (NPD) inputs, including Basis-of-Interest (BOI), Business Plans & associated Financial Workbooks.
+ In NPD phase, translate impactful value propositions (for users and customers) into measurable product performance objectives & User Experience guidelines for the engineering teams (or vice versa).
+ Define & prioritize product specifications, product range & high-level user stories for the user and app interfaces.
+ Drive portfolio performance management, tracking performance and identifying gaps/opportunities to optimize.
+ Manage SKU rationalization/optimization
Market knowledge and Customer/User Insights
+ Build and consistently develop a thorough understanding of the market (consumer, customer, channels, competition) through interaction with regional teams, market research and ad-hoc field visits.
+ Develop category research priorities.
+ Coordinate competitive research with Regional Product Marketing.
+ Identify, monitor and leverage key trends inside and outside the industry (e.g. HMI / connectivity, sustainability & regulatory).
Leadership, influence & Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ It is essential for the Candidate to deliver value and navigate well in a functional role within a matrix environment, through a “partner & leader” attitude. Global PM teammates are both Partners of the Regional Teams (listening to their needs & market specificities – and giving them products to win) and Leaders of their categories (ex: pushing for a new emerging technology not yet seen in the market, driving platforming to deliver speed and efficiency). Within the general principles hereafter.
+ Work with regional product marketing teams to ensure product development aligns with local market demands.
+ Work with Global Engineering teams and Tech / Innovation Centers to collect, co-define & prioritize white space, innovation and NPD.
+ Support Engineering in defining and standardizing global product platforms.
+ Align strategy for the category within the broader context of all Pool Pad product categories (the Pool as a System)
+ Support global launch plans with regional product marketing.
+ Align with supply chain and operations teams to optimize product cost structures, sourcing strategies, and inventory management.
+ Engage with sales, finance, and operations to ensure commercial viability and operational readiness.
+ More generally, develop and maintain own network within the Fluidra organization in both global areas and regional/local entities.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators
+ Monitor KPIs and recommend corrective actions: margin, market shares, quality, customers & end user satisfactio n.
+ Be comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, triangulating a variety of sources.
WHAT WE SEEK
+ This is a category where the ability to conduct fruitful conversations with experts is critical – including engineering teams, regional marketing and sales teams, suppliers. Prior experience in the pool industry is a nice to have but not a requirement – the preference is to recruit someone who has honed his/her skills in “champion’s league” companies. However, the successful candidate must be comfortable with technical products and would ideally have some experience in adjacent areas. We will also consider candidates from other industries if they have the right level of experience & attitude for the role (with a background demonstrating they can adapt to a new field).
+ Strategic Marketing expertise:
+ B2B2C is a must
+ Produ c t portfolio strategy (brand/product/price/channel)
+ Pipeline management from idea generation to country deployment
+ Strong analytical skills: data oriented for both business analysis and technical specs.
+ Experience working in an international context, ideally driving international product strategy. The Candidate must have overseen product strategy across several countries (more than 1 continent is a strong plus) and worked remotely with colleagues internationally.
+ Experience & comfort with hydraulics and filtration technologies. Understanding of water flow dynamics, sizing, energy efficiency standards, and industry certifications (e.g., NSF, CE) is a plus.
+ Experience working in an international context, ideally driving international product strategy.
+ Well-structured – while open to ideas & diversity of inputs, the role drives clarity of strategy and product roads.
+ Ability to understand the needs of different target audiences, internationally.
+ Ability to think strategically across brands and channels, while diving into the details of product specifications
+ Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal are a must as the role’s success depends on the ability to clarify “the problems to solve” with R&D, while being impactful to champion the strategy and value propositions with regions. It is also critical to work remotely with Managers and Regional teams .
+ Availability to travel, mainly Spain & internationally ( ~ 30%)

EDUCATION
+ Preferably, MBA or master’s degree in Product Management or Engineering. However, a Candidate with significant training and expertise in the hydraulics area will also be considered.

Expected salary range is $ 145,000 - $ 185,000 . Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
