    Job Summary & Location

    Western Aircraft, Inc. is a Commuter Air Carrier providing on-demand and scheduled flights within the United States and various international locations. The WestAir Charter Flight Operations & Customer Relations Specialist will schedule and assign such flights and crewmembers for its fleet of aircraft, among other duties.

     

    This position is based in Boise, Idaho.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    + Generate accurate quotes for customers and aircraft brokers for on-demand charters and scheduled operations

    + Maintain a high level of customer service by responding quickly to customer requests and needs

    + Schedule and follow flights per current FAA regulations and company policy

    + Create trip itineraries for dissemination to customers, brokers, and fixed based operators.

    + Arrange requested services for flights including ground transportation, catering, hotels, commercial travel

    + Coordinate above and below wing services

    + Review trip reports retrieving pertinent information required for invoicing and system updates

    + Arrange travel and lodging for customers, clients, employees, and prospective employees

    + Be available for on-call coverage during evening, weekend, and holiday periods

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications & Job Requirements

    + Experience & Competencies:

    + Prior 14 CFR 135 experience highly preferred

    + Prior flight following and dispatch coordination experience highly preferred

    + Prior experience with Jet Insight management software or equivalent preferred

    + Prior experience issuing substitution air service preferred including acting as liaison between customer and brokers or other air service providers

    + Demonstrated competency and attention to detail in task management, scheduling, and coordination

    + Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality

    + Effective communications skills

    + Possesses a proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills

    + Strong organizational skills with an ability to think pre-emptively and prioritize work

    + Education

    + Any combination of education and experience relevant to the position

    Other Prerequisites

    + Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

    + Ability to obtain Airport issued security badge

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    + Any combination of education and experience relevant to the position

    + Primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled environment

    + Requires sitting for extended periods of time

    + Occasional lifting and carrying to 50 pounds

    + Work is performed in an office environment with moderate noise level; frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes

    + Constantly requires clear vision to read printed materials and computer screen to accomplish work

    + Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers

    + Constantly requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks
