    Job Description

    Job Summary

    Under general direction with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to manage and lead Raymond James & Associates cash management strategy and banking relationships. The role will be responsible for all aspects of managing and investing cash, liquidity and funding, payments, and managing banking relationships across firm cash and client cash required to be segregated for reserve requirements. Responsible for daily decisions and oversees a team that provides daily cash management, payments, reconciliations, and internal reporting. Develop best practices while driving process improvement initiatives and system enhancements. Champion technology to drive accuracy and efficiency. Handle complex issues in an ever-changing environment. Regular contact with senior management and other internal customers is required to provide comprehensive solutions to complex problems or needs.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + Lead and manage the firm's cash management function, overseeing all related cash movement processes, controls and technology.

    + Develop, foster, and manage strong relationships with banking partners as well as prospective new banking relationships.

    + Drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and efficacy, monitor and implement leading practices, and utilize appropriate technology to serve external and internal client needs.

    + Create and maintain a high degree of fraud awareness, controls, and monitoring protocols to reduce the risk of loss for the firm.

    + Optimize cash balances and movement across multiple banking partners to diversify risk, manage costs and maximize interest income.

    + Manage intraday and short-term funding needs and sources of primary and contingent liquidity.

    + Manage collateral operations for short-term funding and liquidity purposes.

    + Work with IT, Operations, and other departments on various firm-wide projects.

    + Plan, assign, monitor and manage the work of the department.

    + Oversee preparation of internal reports for management.

    + Coach and mentor associates, identify training needs and approve development plans.

    + Serve as the point of contact during external audits, internal audits and regulatory examinations.

    + Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Knowledge of

    + Treasury management practices in large corporate environments with a preference for financial institutions experience.

    + Financial products, markets, exchanges and regulated environments.

    + Fraud prevention.

    + Treasury management technology and payments solutions.

    + Controls and implementation of controls related to safeguarding of assets.

    + Debt capital markets, short-term funding instruments, Federal Reserve discount window, and collateral management.

    Skills in

    + Working cross-functionally across an organization to manage projects, build awareness, and consensus in driving process change and improvement.

    + Working with large data sets and information.

    + Preparing and effectively communicating management-level reports.

    + Managing and leading larger teams across different locations.

    Ability to

    + Plan, assign, monitor, review, evaluate, and lead the work of others.

    + Identify training needs and develop subordinates.

    + Establish and communicate clear directions and priorities.

    + Lead meetings and contribute to team efforts by ensuring all relevant information is included in the outcomes.

    + Implement changes to standard procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances.

    + Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels to accomplish objectives.

    + Establish and communicate clear directions and priorities.

    + Explain or clarify financial and regulatory information to all levels of management.

    + Work independently, make non-routine decisions, and resolve complex problems.

    + Organize, prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects and tasks concurrently, in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities and constant interruptions, including those delegated, to complete work efficiently.

    Licenses/Certifications

    + SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied.

    + FINRA Series 99, or ability to obtain within 120 days (as required by FINRA), may be required depending on assigned functional area.

    + FINRA Series 27, or ability to obtain within 120 days (as required by FINRA), may be required depending on assigned functional area.
