Acute Residential Counselor

Salary: $1360 / Week
Amergis Healthcare has an opportunity for a Residential Support Counselor to help residents across Chittenden County.
Pay: $30/hour, paid weekly
Qualifications:
+ 2-3 years experience in a behavioral setting
+ Valid driver's license, and use of a personal vehicle to transport residents as needed
+ High school degree or equivalent
+ Routine lifting
+ Ability to work either Saturday or Sunday
+ Knowledge of medical equipment
+ Committed to trauma-informed approach
Schedule: 32-40 hours per week, multiple shifts available, 1 weekend day per week
Job Duties:
+ Initiate constructive activities that address goals on a client's Individual treatment plan
+ Implement support and crisis plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
+ Facilitate community inclusion, daily living, and skill acquisition
+ Utilization of sound judgement and maintenance of calm demeanor during crisis
+ Provide needed behavioral and/or mental health support
+ Provide needed personal and/or medical care
Duration: Temp to Perm
