SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan in compliance with the Joint Commission Standards. Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, preventative maintenance, calibration and repair of a limited scope of stand-alone biomedical equipment under guidance and direct supervision. May also coordinate vendor maintenance activities. Demonstrates basic knowledge of the job, activity or function and requires supervision or mentoring on advanced assignments.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES** : The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

+ Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with medical equipment maintenance, including inspection, installation, preventative maintenance, calibration and repair of simple equipment.

+ Conducts return inspections on medical equipment sent for vendor depot repairs according to manufacturer's specifications.

+ Documents work using applicable computer programs.

+ Some of the day to day work may be spent traveling.

+ May be required to work flexible hours, including on-call and overtime

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

+ Associate's degree in Biomedical or Electronics Technology or related field or equivalent military training required.

+ One (1) year of related experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

+ Valid driver's license preferred.
