Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Duties:
+ Assist the Physical Therapist in executing individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery
+ Deliver therapeutic interventions including strength training, balance improvement, and mobility exercises
+ Support patients in achieving functional goals and regaining independence
+ Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and rehab strategies
+ Monitor progress, report outcomes, and adapt care under PT supervision
+ Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility standards and state regulations
+ Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure a holistic approach to care
+ Stay informed on best practices in physical therapy and participate in ongoing learning
Required Qualifications for Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):
+ Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice
+ Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
+ Experience in skilled nursing, inpatient rehab, or outpatient therapy preferred
+ Strong clinical reasoning and interpersonal skills
