    Job Title:Overnight Lead Behavioral Health Technician

     

    Employment Type:Full-Time, Hourly

     

    Schedule:11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Overnight Shift)

    Job Summary:

    FLACRA is seeking a reliable and organizedOvernight Lead Behavioral Health Technicianto oversee overnight operations at our Residential Program. This leadership position plays a key role in maintaining program structure, safety, documentation quality, and overall readiness for the incoming day staff. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to remain calm and supportive in a 24/7 care environment.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Minimum1 year of related healthcare experience, particularly with chart documentation

    + Ability to work theovernight shift (11 PM – 7 AM)on a consistent basis

    + Strong organizational, communication, and executive functioning skills

    + Valid NYS Driver’s License

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Associate’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, or related field

    + Experience in behavioral health, residential care, or similar setting

    Job Requirements:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Overnight Leadership & Oversight:

    + Lead and complete theovernight Behavioral Health Technician checklistand monitor staff compliance

    + Conduct and overseechart auditsand documentation reviews for accuracy and completion

    + Ensure program cleanliness, organization, and readiness for day shift

    + Conduct regular safetyroundsand intervene when needed

    + Assist with staffing support at other FLACRA residential programs as required

    Client Monitoring & Documentation:

    + Monitor client behavior and safety during overnight hours

    + Report and document any changes in client medical, mental health, or behavioral conditions

    + Support medication self-administration following completion of certification training

    + Ensure a safe, secure, and therapeutic residential environment for all clients

    Additional Support Duties (if clients are awake):

    + Facilitate and engage clients in daily living activities and recovery-based routines

    + Support clients in building life skills, personal care routines, and goal-setting

    + Provide transportation to treatment appointments or community activities

    + Intervene therapeutically in crises or behavioral escalations as needed

    Skills & Competencies:

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Ability to lead by example and work independently with minimal supervision

    + Knowledge of behavioral health issues and trauma-informed care practices

    + Ability to de-escalate high-stress situations and respond appropriately during crises

    + Comfortable working with diverse populations and interdisciplinary teams

    + Detail-oriented with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
