Position Description

Serco is seeking a skilled Principal or Sr. Principal Cyber Engineer to support the Air Force Modeling and Simulation Support Services (AFMS3) program in Orlando, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing cybersecurity policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards. You will perform key engineering functions across the total system lifecycle, from concept through disposal, ensuring technical excellence, cost efficiency, and mission readiness.

In this role, you will:

+ Conduct technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, and supportability analyses.

+ Analyze total system products at all lifecycle stages including concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operations, and maintenance.

+ Translate customer or product requirements into integrated systems solutions within schedule and budget constraints.

+ Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, and interface definition to guide hardware and software requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications

+ Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

+ Level 4: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 8 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience, or 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

+ Experience working with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD cybersecurity frameworks.

+ Active Secret security clearance.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

+ Strong background in system security engineering and cybersecurity risk assessment.

+ Proven ability to operate independently and meet mission-critical deadlines.

+ Technical knowledge of system integration, performance analysis, and lifecycle engineering.

Additional desired experience and skills:

+ Security+ CE, CISSP, or DoD 8570 compliant certifications.

+ Background in simulation platforms or mission systems engineering.
