Summary You will serve as an AIR OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS AND REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT of COMNAVREG MIDLANT NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will provide leadership on management and improvement of business practices across all functions in regional Air Operations. You will provide detailed trend analysis regarding maintenance requirements of critical airfield systems and arresting gear to allocate fiscal resources while maintaining mission ready airfield status. You will develop studies and reviews of the structures and functions of Air Operations organizations with extremely interrelated work processes and functions. You will provide cost saving initiatives and recommendations for improvement to management. You will develop plans of actions and milestones in response to program changes. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Conducting work measurement, methods and procedures, and/or benchmarking studies specific to air operations, 2) Analyzing and developing recommendations for improvement in air program operations and objectives; 3) Conducting and reporting program research and analysis on policy, finding, and program issues involving all facets of Air Operations; and 4) Using database management software for the creation of electronic databases.
