Mental Health Therapist Associate - Adolescent PHP

Provides mental health services to children, adolescents, and families with serious developmental, emotional, and behavioral problems in a manner which results in improvements in the child and family's functioning in multiple life domains and is cost effective.
We are seeking a Mental Health Therapist Associate to join our Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). The PHP provides intensive services for adolescents (ages 13-17) from 9 AM - 3 PM, Monday-Friday. It serves youth who may be discharging from inpatient psychiatry or diverting from inpatient admission after an emergency department evaluation.
Therapists in this role will provide individual, family, and group therapy, while also supporting with milieu management and patient supervision. Our program emphasizes a collaborative, team-based approach to care.
Preferred candidates will have experience working with adolescents with depression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, psychosis, and other psychiatric disorders, as well as their families. Candidates should be comfortable working with moderate-acuity psychiatric patients and be adaptable in dynamic environments. Preferred candidates will also have a commitment to learning and actively engaging in anti-racist practices.
Required Education and Experience
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
Minimum of practicum experiences during training focused on the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and families with serious developmental, emotional and behavioral problems.
Actively working to obtain 3000 hours of supervised experience toward independent licensure in the State of Washington.
May work evening & weekends as required.
Required Credentials
This job requires 1 of 5 licenses:
Licensed in Washington State as a Mental Health Counselor Associate.
Licensed in Washington State as a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate.
Licensed in Washington State as an Independent Clinical Social Work Associate.
Social Worker Associate Advanced License (SA).
Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration within 60 days of employment start date; Will obtain Associate level licensure listed above within 120 days of employment.
Preferred
Experience with multi-system involved children with severe behavioral problems and/or developmental disabilities.
Experience with the mental health system of care and Washington State Mental Health WACs.
Experience with evidence based practice.
Compensation Range
$37.85 - $56.78 per hour
Salary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
