Job Summary:
This role provides Strategic Direction, Leadership and Management across the North America Distribution Organization for all Warehousing and Distribution activities. Also, responsible for the Delivery service levels for both Vision Care and Surgical Vision North America. Functional operational areas include order processing, kitting, labeling, repacking, inventory management, and final delivery ensuring these are constantly improving in response to our customer requirements. Responsible for overseeing and developing JNJ leadership and associated personnel within the organization. Responsible for Direct and/or dotted line management of 3PL relationships, EH&S, QA, Facilities, and both shared and contract services as they pertain to Distribution Center support activities. Maintains all budgetary responsibility for above areas.
Adheres to environmental policy and procedures and supports department environmental objectives.
This role will be accountable for leading the JJVC GPO for Repack and Relabel across the WW franchise.
Key Duties:
+ Manages the overall Distribution organization across North America including the Jacksonville operation, shared services, and 3PL contract operations.
+ Ensures annual service level targets are achieved.
+ Jointly develops Distribution Business plan budgets with regions. Manages to targets ensuring year over year improvements and CIP's are met.
+ Responsible for ensuring the future strategy of North America Vision Distribution function is reviewed on a periodic basis and is assessed to ensure it is well positioned to support the future direction of the franchise.
+ Provides for proper resources, materials handling equipment for the receiving, storage, and shipping of products.
+ Ensures all Distribution Center activities are in compliance with GMP guidelines, ISO standards, SOX requirements and Safety/Environmental Standards.
+ Communicates and collaborates with other Supply Chain departments, Marketing and Sales, MedTEch Deliver as well as Affiliate country counterparts.
+ Oversees the recruitment, training and development of personnel within the organization.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required; a Masters or advanced degree is preferred
+ Minimum experience (number of month/years and type of work experience beyond formal education) required for competent performance:
+ 5+ years management experience
+ Minimum of 10 years of related experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory, Warehouse, Distribution, Manufacturing or Engineering is required
+ Experience with Process Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma methodologies is preferred
+ Experience in a GMP or FDA regulated environment is preferred
+ ERP systems experience and SAP experience is preferred
+ Knowledge of SOX audit initiatives is preferred
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required
+ Must have strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
+ Must have excellent collaboration, customer service and oral/written communication skills
+ Experience partnering with all levels of management in a cross-functional team environment is required
+ This role may require up to 25% travel
