    Zions Bancorp in Salt Lake City is now accepting applications for a Public Disclosure Analyst on our Public Finance team. You will be responsible for writing technical offering documents for tax-exempt or taxable bonds including data tables, historical financial information, tax base valuation, historical and projected utility revenue summaries, sources of security and other quantitative and qualitative information investors would require to make a reasoned investment decision. Other responsibilities include providing updates to certain information contained within those documents to investors in compliance with SEC regulation, maintaining information for research and analysis, and presenting to small groups the assembled information in documents and reports. Your position will require meeting deadlines, providing an integral step in the bond financing process, writing persuasively and seeing processes through from start to finish. This position interacts with lead relationship managers, project partners, and clients while financing projects and thereafter. Meetings may be in person or virtual. This position seeks to generate new and repeat business.

    + Ability to work independently, while being team-oriented.

    + Self-motivated and resourcefully solves problems.

    Job Description

    + Present financial statements and other financial data and legal requirements in offering documents used to sell municipal bonds including description of a government client, the bonds, the security for the bonds and related risks.

    + Update information on an annual and in some cases quarterly basis.

    + Track municipal bond market disclosure updates and apply them for clients.

    + Monitor and track SEC identified “material events” for clients and timely file notices in conjunction with those events.

    + Prepare quality assurance reviews on co-worker product to ensure compliance with regulations and work product specifications.

    + Conduct document and “due diligence” review sessions with clients.

    + Make presentations, as needed, in public meetings (e.g. school board meetings, city council meetings, trade conferences, etc.).

    + Write persuasive proposals to prospective clients touting historic work experience, current skills and capabilities and talents which would make our team the best suited for a job.

    + Process transactional documents for deal flow in a timely and accurate manner.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Job Qualifications

    + Requires a Bachelor's in business, law, finance, English, history, public policy technical writing or related field and some experience in accounting, financial analysis, budgets, writing or other related experience.

    + A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

    + Basic knowledge of financial principles and legal concepts like covenants and breach of contracts.

    + Solid written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to clearly and succinctly express complex financial concepts both verbally and in writing.

    + Ability to prepare oral and written reports and presentations.

    + Ability to work in a heavily deadline-oriented environment.

    + Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

    + Ability to identify, research, coordinate and resolve issues independent of others.

    + Availability to travel at times within the State of Utah, and infrequently out of state.

    + Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.

    + Works effectively with co-workers and both internal and external customers.

    + Excellent office computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
