Join University Health Behavioral Health Cadence House Group Home as a **Mental Health Technician** on our **evening shift** team! Support adults with mental illness while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule: **Monday–Friday, 3 PM–11:30 PM** .
What You'll Do:
As a **Mental Health Technician** on our **residential care team** , you will provide essential care and support to residents, helping them thrive in a safe and supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include:
+ **Engage and Connect:** Lead fun, meaningful activities that promote confidence, joy, and emotional well-being for residents.
+ **Teach Life Skills:** Guide residents in developing practical skills like cooking, cleaning, symptom management, and problem-solving.
+ **Provide Support:** Assist with outings, medication administration ( **training provided** ), and maintaining a welcoming, recovery-focused environment.

Qualifications
We are looking for passionate, dedicated individuals who meet the following **minimum qualifications** and can contribute to a supportive environment for our residents:
_Minimum_** **_Requirements:_
+ **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent ( _no college degree_ _required_ ).
+ **Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification:** Must obtain BLS certification within 120 days of hire and maintain it for continued employment.
+ **Level 1 Medication Aide (LIMA) Licensure:** Complete the licensure course and exam within the first 90 days of employment. Certification must remain current per the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services (DHSS).
+ **Driver’s License:** Obtain a valid Class E Missouri or Kansas driver’s license. Must be comfortable and competent operating a 15-passenger van within 6 months of employment and obey all traffic laws while on duty.
+ **Family Care Registry Clearance:** Successfully clear the Family Care Registry background check.
+ **Training:** Complete all required training as outlined during orientation and by leadership within established timelines for continued employment.
_Preferred Qualifications:_
+ **Patient Care Experience:** Preference for candidates with documented experience assisting patients with activities of daily living (e.g. home health or residential experience).
+ **Mental Health Experience:** Prior experience in a mental health care setting is highly valued.
