Part-Time Ticketing Assistant

Western Kentucky University, a member of Conference USA and a Football Bowl Subdivision NCAA member institution, seeks to hire an individual for the part-time position of Ticketing Assistant. This position will report directly to the General Manager of Ticket Sales and Operations. There are multiple openings for this posting. Applicants must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of WKU, Conference USA and the NCAA.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.
+ Assist in the admission of fans to athletic/campus events at E.A. Diddle Arena and Houchens-Smith Stadium
+ Sell event tickets to walk-up fans
+ Verify ticket validity with use of Ticketmaster scanners
+ Provide quality customer service to all fans
Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for Success:
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Must be self-motivated and team-oriented
+ Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills
+ Experience with Microsoft Office products
+ The duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed in a competent manner following the highest standards for leadership, professionalism, integrity, accountability, responsibility, cooperation and customer service
Job Requirements:
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Previous experience in customer service and/or relations
+ Must be able to work evenings and weekends
Additional Information:
Hourly Rate: $10.00
