    What You Will Do:

    Supports the function of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) in their efforts to build the standard in making L’Oréal North America, the beauty industry, and the world more inclusive. The Director has experience and proven success in leading the development and implementation of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion learning initiatives across matrixed organizations. The Director will lead the scoping, vision, strategy, and execution of the organization’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Learning and Development (L&D) program focused on people, consumer, and community programming across all campuses in the North American Zone. The Director will be a partner and a resource for teams and individuals across the organization in creating and implementing adaptive and relevant Diversity, Equity & Inclusion learning opportunities. This position reports to the [TBD] and works in partnership with other members of the US and International Diversity, Equity & Inclusion teams, L’Oréal divisional and métier leaders, L’Oréal North America employees and Community and NGO stakeholders. This position must maintain strict confidentiality of Department and Company information.

     

    Key Job Responsibilities

     

    + Strategic visioning – Create an iterative and coherent vision and strategy for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion L&D informed by a needs analysis of different divisions, métiers, individuals, and teams, as well as the strategic direction of the organization.

    + Future-ready designing – Lead the design and implementation of a suite of cutting edge, data driven and research-based Diversity, Equity & Inclusion learning experiences, facilitated discussions and workshops supporting both individual contributor and leadership development which achieves sustained behavior change through systems that create accountability.

    + Life-long learning orienting – Collaborate with Human Resources and other internal partners to assess and incorporate Diversity, Equity & Inclusion learning in the context of the organization’s broader training and life-long learning goals.

    + Supporting People-First culture – Identify effective L&D solutions (both people and systems related) to help the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team achieve specific key performance indicators (KPIs) related to talent acquisition, mobility, performance management, retention, belonging, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), the Deloitte six signature traits of inclusive leadership model, and other learning opportunities curated by the Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team on our journey to ensuring fair outcomes, our workforce representation mirrors our consumer, and all employees are inspired to unleash their superpowers.

    + Supporting consumer growth metrics – Identify effective L&D solutions to help the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team achieve specific KPIs related to consumer obsession, cultural immersion, future-readiness, and breakthrough product development and marketing techniques on our journey to outperforming the market and growing share everywhere.

    + Supporting social impact goals – Identify effective L&D solutions to help the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team achieve specific KPIs related to our partnership with Spelman College’s Cosmetic Science Program, an organization designed to build the well-being of middle school children, and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on our journey to strengthening corporate reputation and leaving the world better than we found it.

    + Achieving key outcomes – Develop and implement accountability measures and metrics to track, evaluate, and report on the progress of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and L&D objectives across divisions and métiers including ERG focus groups and Post-Project Retrospectives.

    + Always evolving and experimenting – Create and maintain content that is delivered through a variety of modes and platforms that engage all types of learners and are consistent with adult learning principles; continually review, evaluate, and update content and materials to integrate best practices and trends that reflect the evolving nature of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion education; and equip a variety of leaders to deliver learning experiences themselves.

    + Partnering across organization – Serve as the liaison to three ERGs and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Lead for Corporate Functions.

    + Ability to travel across company facility locations (20%)

    Additional Benefits Information As Follows:

    Salary Range: $138,500 - $200,800 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
