Bring your skills an experience to work closely with business unit accounting personnel, site controllers, and Program Finance personnel to ensure that all business unit data is consolidated into the monthly close\. This individual will be a working manager with the ability to initiate change, drive continuous process improvement, ensure detail accuracy and manage priorities without sacrificing schedule\. Work style must be collaborative matrix manager type with team focus and exceptional communication skills\. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic individual who wants the opportunity to grow the business unit and their career\. The Assistant Controller will report directly to the Bell Controller\. With the support of a business unit Accounting Manager, Accounts Receivable Manager, Disbursements Manager, and related Staff, the Assistant Controller is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the financial close process and reporting of financial information to our corporate parent company and business unit collections and disbursements for this $4 billion , 8,500 employee business unit with manufacturing operations in Fort Worth, Canada, and Tennessee and service operations in the United States, Amsterdam, Singapore, Czech Republic, Australia, and Japan\.
What you'll be doing as an Assistant Controller:
+ Partner with the Bell Controller to solve key questions for the organization and works with other functional leaders to develop executive presentations and present recommendations\.
+ Evaluate technical accounting issues and draft position papers as needed\.
+ Oversee the reporting and compliance of our internal controls over financial reporting to our Corporate internal auditors and the Company's external auditors
+ Demonstrated ability to drive changes and initiate process improvement within SAP and general ledger processes\.
+ Identifies, creates and implements opportunities to partner and /or expand financial support\.
+ Lead and develop accounting team members and create an engaging team environment\.
+ This is a manager role with direct reports\.

+ Shares information, not just data; ensure team members are kept informed; able to summarize details into key points for management review\.
+ Ability to manage projects in a prioritized manner without sacrificing schedule\.
+ Able to bring team members together and ensure issues are resolved, project timelines are met, and overall Company objectives are achieved\.
+ Ability to lead and motivate cross\-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic and tactical goals\.
+ Hands on experience as a working manager using SAP to manage monthly accounting close for large manufacturing division with multiple sites is preferred\.
+ Some travel is required\.
What you need to be successful:
+ 10 years related experience in Finance/Accounting\.
+ Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other relevant field is required\.
+ Master's degree in Accounting or MBA is preferred\.
+ Certified Public Accountant \(CPA\) required\.
+ Must be proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint\.
