    PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Aircraft Painter** to support one of our premier aerospace clients in **Jacksonville, FL** . In this full-time, first-shift consulting role, you’ll transform advanced aircraft into mission-ready masterpieces—combining precision, technique, and craftsmanship to deliver flawless finishes that meet the highest aerospace standards.

     

    This position requires a security clearance, and candidates are required to be U.S. Citizens.

     

    What You’ll Do

     

    As an Aircraft Painter, your work will directly impact both the performance and appearance of aircraft systems. You'll prepare, treat, and finish aircraft exteriors with extreme attention to detail and care.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    + Preparing aircraft exteriors for paint through sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming

    + Laying out and applying external markings, logos, and design elements to aircraft surfaces

    + Mixing and applying prescribed primers, sealants, and topcoats

    + Removing old coatings as needed and performing touch-up work

    + Ensuring all paint operations meet technical, quality, and safety specifications

    + Maintaining clean and organized work areas while following proper disposal protocols for hazardous materials

     

    What You Bring to the Hangar

    Required Qualifications:

    + Minimum of **2 years of experience** in aircraft painting, including applying/removing coatings, adhesives, and sealants

    + Understanding of aircraft finishing procedures, tools, and safety standards

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + **5 years of experience** in aircraft painting or refinishing highly preferred

    + Experience working in FAA-regulated environments

    + Familiarity with military or commercial aircraft painting specifications

    **Pay Details:** $25.93 to $30.25 per hour
