About E&ES:
Caterpillar’s Electrification & Energy Solutions (E&ES) Division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries.

Job Summary:
Caterpillar’s Energy & Electrification Services Development has an opening for a Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt. As a Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt, you will report to the Business Integration Manager and manage multiple complex projects across Caterpillar. Your role involves leading projects to develop and implement transactional flows for new services in markets supported by E+ES and Resource Industries (RI). You will also create requirements and go-to-market strategies for charging solutions for RI products to meet dealer and customer needs. These projects will refine processes to meet regional needs and transition from manual processes to automation through early learners, pilot, and production phases. You will define manual processes and system requirements to ensure products and services can be transacted in identified markets, meeting business readiness targets for each NPI or Market Introduction. The focus will be on balancing customer requirements with business capability and costs.
This role is highly collaborative, requiring close work with cross-functional teams to achieve the go-to-market strategy.
What you will do:
+ Run projects that will include Business Resources, Corporate Tax, Cat Finance, product teams and the wider go-to-market team that include commercial, marketing, digital, and product support determine transactional flows.
+ Lead or oversee projects that include managing progress and costs; ensuring effective use of project controls and reporting mechanisms to create processes or resolve any gaps/problems found within the proposed transactional flows.
+ Communicating status of requirements and projects with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.
+ Coordinate with charger NPI leads in E+ES and RI and the wider go-to-market team that includes commercial, marketing, digital, and product support to manage requirement and go-to-market needs.
+ Influence process partners and peers; motivating and developing the project team and team members.
+ Some communication with customers and dealers to manage expectations, review program and process proposals, gather voice.
+ Leading and managing Six Sigma projects to achieve measurable business process improvements and may include developing supporting systems and tools for quality and business process improvements.
+ Providing technical training and guidance for Green Belt professionals on the planning, development and implementation of Six Sigma projects.
+ Employing Six Sigma methodology into organizational operations to meet business goals and objectives.

+ Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements.

+ Produces standard project status reports.
**Six Sigma Methodology:** Knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology; ability to use the methodology to improve the manufacturing processes and control the improvements by eliminating root causes.
Level Working Knowledge:
+ Analyzes business priorities for selecting potential critical metrics.
+ Uses tools (e.g. trend charts, Pareto charts, sigma conversion chart) to measure historical performance.
+ Researches important causes that have an impact on quality and customer satisfaction with the use of statistical tools.
+ Resolves routine problems in a cost-effective manner.
+ Reports deviances from process improvements.
Top Candidate May Have:
+ Degree or equivalent experience desired.
+ Previous 6-Sigma experience.
+ Business Acumen with technical understanding.
+ Excellent communication skills.
Additional Information:
+ This position is located in Mossville, IL or Tucson, AZ.
+ Domestic and International travel of 10-20% is required. International travel may be up to two weeks at a time.

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
