Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:
WIth minimal direction and considerable use of independent judgement, the position will utilize educational concepts, communication skills, and experience/knowledge of clinical research to provide support for clinical research systems trainings to the URMC research community. This position will train according to recognized industry guidance and best practices and to any required compliance mandates by the organization. This position will require excellent communication and organizational skills, and solid foundational and operational knowledge in clinical research. They will support project development and processes related to all OCR managed systems. This position is responsible for working with diverse levels of staff to maintain and improve the utilization of OnCore and other OCR managed systems to assure the business strategy is driving the system use/requirements. This role will be collaborating with other departments across the institution. Reports to and is given direction by the Office of Clinical Research (OCR) Director and Instructional Designer II.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Supports and develops, maintains, and updates OCR managed systems training materials and on demand presentations.
+ Conducts orientation presentations for end users, for requested focused education presentations, and case specific presentations inclusive of training for system end users, new and existing trainings.
+ Identifies, initiates and cultivates relationships with a wide variety of people at all professional levels within the institution.
+ Supports lead Systems Trainer with application upgrades.
+ Demonstrates the ability to escalate training risks or issues effectively within the organization, if needed.
+ Supports the coordination and tracking of orientation of new hires and transferred employees to completion for OCR managed systems.
+ Maintains training program metrics.
+ Reports with updates.
+ In collaboration with Lead Systems Trainer and CTMS team maintains training environment.
+ Assists in the system upgrades, assesses impacts of new functionality on system use and business processes, and communication of changes to end users.
+ Attends meetings, makes recommendations, meets with colleagues, attends educational activities and keeps current on training industry.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience REQUIRED.
+ Software training experience REQUIRED.
+ Knowledgeable in the clinical research industry and of human subject's clinical research REQUIRED.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED:
+ Ability to use creative and effective presentation skills to teach large groups in a remote learning environment
+ Capable of relating to diverse groups of audiences and adapt training delivery.
+ A general understanding of key performance indicators
+ Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, including written communication.
+ Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
+ Demonstrate accountability in ownership and solution-oriented work approach
+ Proven organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, REDCap and PowerPoint
