In this position...
This is the Technical position on the Remote Diagnsotics team. The Remote Diagnostics team is responsible for identifying and leading the validation & development of new Remote Diagnostic opportunities for Dealers, Customers and Field Service Engineers. The primary focus is on Cloud Assisted Diagnostic (CAD) development but also includes other Remote Diagnostic tools such as the Remote Customer Flight Recorder (RCFR), Remote Self-test, Remote Datalogger and other Remote Service Functions.
What you'll do...
+ Lead technical deep dive & review of all Cloud Assisted Diagnostic opportunities using Workshop Manual, Eletronic Parts Catalog (ECAT), Global System for Analytics and Reporting (GSARS), Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS), Global Master Reference Database (GMRDB) and Part IIs.
+ Lead garage testing on vehicles to validate new Remote Diagnostic & Cloud Assisted Diagnostic (CAD) opportunities
+ Lead testing of new releases & regression testing of existing releases
+ Assist the Remote Diagnsotics team with identification of new Cloud Assisted Diagnostic & Remote Diagnostic opportunities
+ Work with engineering teams to support development and launch of new CADs
+ Work with PD, Quality & Design For Service (DFS) teams to support development of Remote Diagnostic requirements in future vehicle architectures (FNVx)
+ Use Hoppscotch for API testing of Remote Diagnostics
+ Work with legal teams (OGC/ASO/Litigation, etc.) to identify and document the legal requirements & approvals of Remote Diagnostic
+ Support with Remote Diagnostic pilot developments, launches & support
+ Track & Report-out updates on progress
+ Provide Remote Diagnostics demos for TRP, Pilot Dealers, ASO/OGC, DSP, Hotline Escalation, Warranty teams, PD, etc.
• Bachelors degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or related discipline required.
• Thorough understanding of vehicle diagnostics & vehicle systems required
• Experience using FDRS/IDS tools- required
• Demonstrated experience with Project Management. preferred
• Resilience to working in white space required
• FCSD Field experience preferred
• Technical service experience preferred
• Dealership service experience preferred
• Understanding of Diagnostic Services & Diagnostic Engineering Tool (DET) operation
• Experience with module programming in service required
• Experience with software development and deployment applications (Jira/Rally) preferred

This position is a range of salary grades **6-8** .
