As a **Senior Engineer, General Engineering** you will join the **Air Traffic Solutions – Whole Life Engineering Department (ATS-WLE)** for an exciting career opportunity in General Engineering. In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of 50+ engineers representing several WLE disciplines who support globally deployed **Air Traffic Control** (ATC) and related systems, including Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) and Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), which provide vital safety-of-life air traffic management support for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), for the Department of Defense (DoD), and for international counterparts.

What You Will Do
+ You will work onsite at our Marlborough, MA site location.
+ You will design, develop, integrate, and test elements of successfully deployed technical documentation, including Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs).
+ You will innovate solutions to challenging issues impacting real world technical documentation usage.
+ You will enhance all aspects of technical documentation implementation, including for Consumer Off the Shelf (COTS) hardware and software.
+ You will present solutions and technical details to team leads, management, and important customer representatives and serve as a subject matter expert to support critical customer responsibilities.
+ You will work on hardware in a laboratory environment to gather data, verify procedures, software, and related data.
+ You will maintain technical information and oversee configuration management of source materials and changes for processes and software.
+ You will perform program tasks related to at least one other WLE discipline, such as training development and conduct; logistics and supportability analysis, including provisioning; safety engineering (software and hardware); cybersecurity engineering; reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis; or human factors engineering.
+ You will travel to RTX and customer sites as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years or prior relevant experience
+ 2 years experience developing technical documentation _(creating, editing, and maintaining comprehensive manuals or user guides for software applications or technical systems)._
+ 2 years experience in a second WLE discipline ( _training development and conduct; logistics and supportability analysis, including provisioning; safety engineering (software and hardware); cybersecurity engineering; reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis; or human factors engineering)_
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Experience performing work related to operations and maintenance of ATC systems, including networking hardware, radar/signal inputs, or general information technology infrastructure racks and consoles
+ Experience conducting software and hardware safety engineering analysis for FAA systems
+ Experience conducting logistics and supportability analysis in accordance with the requirements of the GEIA-0007 series
+ Experience in human factors engineering addressing both software and hardware requirements
+ Experience developing and conducting training for FAA or DoD customer communities, including Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) compliant computer-based training.

+ **Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
