    Pay Rate:

    _The pay rate for this job is $12 - $12 / hour*_

    What you'll be doing as a Direct Support Professional:

    + Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene

    + Promote independence by teaching home management, cooking, cleaning, and other life skills

    + Support individual goals as outlined in personalized care plans

    + Encourage and participate in social activities to foster community and emotional wellbeing

    + Assist with meal preparation, grocery shopping, and dietary planning

    + Monitor health and wellness, including medication reminders, basic medical documentation, and attending appointments

    + Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment

    + Complete all necessary documentation and progress notes related to individual support

    + Provide reliable and compassionate transportation for appointments or community outings

    + Work closely with medical professionals, families, and support teams

    + Uphold the rights, dignity, and confidentiality of every individual in your care

    Job requirements:

    + High school diploma or GED required

    + At least one year of experience in a caregiving, healthcare, or human services role is preferred

    + Must be compassionate, reliable, and able to maintain professionalism in all situations

    + Ability to pass a background check per state regulations

    + Willingness to complete training in CPR, First Aid, Medication Management, and other required certifications (may be provided upon hire)

    + Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions, and respond effectively in emergencies

    + Experience in a group home, residential, or adult living facility setting

    + Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and individual rights policies

    + Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to help others succeed and thrive
