Job Summary:
The Cancer Program Administrator is responsible for directing the service line's initiatives for ensuring compliance with all standards in the achievement and maintenance of multiple system and site accreditation and certification initiatives. Initiatives for accreditation and/or certification include working with operations, quality and patient safety, community advancement, our clinical research partners, providers, nursing, and other system and community partners to achieve certification standards across the organization. This role is also responsible for tumor conference system management, as well as creating and assembling agenda's/presentations to support the Cancer Care Townhalls.
Job Expectations:
+ Functions as Service Line lead relating to certification and/or accreditation requirements
+ Directs all activity surrounding multiple cancer system and site accreditations including the Commission on Cancer, QOPI, NAPBC, Apex, and other future accreditations
+ Responsible for leading subcommittee planning meetings and creating/monitoring action plans for non-compliant standards
+ Collaborates with internal stakeholders including the clinical trials office, quality, survivorship, community advancement, providers, nursing, and others to facilitate and coordinate the work needed to achieve standards.
+ Responsible liaison to accrediting bodies
+ Assures that systems and processes are in place to achieve accreditation/certification requirements.
+ Responsible for assuring appropriate Cancer Committee membership on system and/or site committees and staffing committees. Responsible for meeting minutes and timely communication to Committee members.
+ Acts as the service line’s primary liaison to external and patient safety initiatives, and coordinates service line participation as appropriate. (e.g. conferences, local/regional/national initiatives)
+ System lead for tumor conferences assuring system and site tumor conferences structures and processes meet accreditation/certification requirements. Assures that tumor conferences across the system follow system standards with respect to Epic standard tools and documentation.
+ Responsible for meeting deadlines for submission of all required documentation for accreditation.
+ Organizes and staffs all aspects of site visits for accreditation or reaccreditation visits.
+ Works in collaboration with Service Line leaders to create engaging agendas for Cancer Care Service Line Town Halls. Accountable for assembling presentation material for Cancer Care Service Line Town Halls.
Qualifications:
Required
Education
• BS/BA
Experience
• 3 years experience in a healthcare setting, with progressive responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of cancer accreditation requirements and other healthcare regulations that impact and safety initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to facilitate groups and work in a collaborative manner.
• Demonstrated success in working with physicians and other clinicians.
• Education and experience in measurement and benchmarking.
• Experience working with electronic medical record systems

• Degree in a relevant area related to healthcare

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
