Responsibilities 1st Shift: 6a - 6p 2nd shift: 6p - 6a The Company: Since 1948, Bob Evans Farms (BEF), Bob Evans Farms (bobevansgrocery.com) has been delivering farm-fresh goodness—delicious, quick-to-table farm fresh foods sold in retail stores throughout the country. The company manufactures and distributes a variety of high-quality, convenience-oriented products under the Bob Evans, Owens, Egg Beaters and Simply Potatoes brand names. Today, the company is the leading seller of refrigerated dinner sides including mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese, liquid egg products and refrigerated breakfast potatoes. BEF is also a leading producer and distributor of over sixty varieties of sausage and bacon products, frozen handheld breakfast items and other convenience foods. In September of 2017, the company was acquired by Post Holding Company, Post Holdings. Within Post, BEF is part of the Refrigerated Retail division. Other divisions of Post include Post Consumer Brands (cereal), Weetabix, Michael Foods, BellRing Brands, and 8th Avenue Food & Provisions. Position Overview: The person in this position will tend machines that perform one or more production or packaging functions. This may consist of box building, sleeving, box closer, or shrink wrapping while performing other duties. Accountabilities: Safety 1st. Follows all workplace safety rules. Starts machine and observes operation to detect any malfunctions. Must prioritize food quality and maintain food safety, through the vigilant application of company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Ensure all connections to machines are correct. Utilize all required PPE for the assigned job. Verify the surfaces of the machines of the machines and components are sanitary and in good working condition. Confirm product specification is met prior to machine operation. Inspects filled container to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications. Replenish packaging materials to machines as needed. Document required verifications of product during the process. Communicate problems or issues to production leadership to address concerns of product waste, quality or employee safety. Work in a fast paced environment on a production line. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience and Education: Education Level: High School diploma or GED Experience: Prior manufacturing/production experience preferred but not required. **Physical Requirements:** Manufacturing Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to cold, wet or humid conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and the noise level can be loud.
