    Xylem/Evoqua: Field Service Engineer: Water Treatment Industry Xylem is currently seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support our Industrial Projects Business.

     

    The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for leading the on-site technical and operational support in the design, development, installation and commissioning of industrial process and waste water systems.

    Responsibilities and duties include:

    Troubleshoot complex system and equipment problems and providing input and suggestions regarding systems and processes.

     

    Conduct complex site surveys to develop base or installation design plans, including planning, executing and conducting field trials.

     

    Provide direction for maintenance of complex tools, test equipment, calibration items, etc.

     

    Assist in training other members of the service department and provide assistance in training customers to maintain and adjust more complex equipment.

     

    Prepare and submit reports covering all on-site/system(s) activity.

     

    Prepare or review process documentation or operations manuals.

     

    This position requires travel up to 85% of the time.

    Qualifications of candidate will include:

     

    minimum of 5 years of relevant, demonstrated experience is required, preferably in the water treatment industry.

     

    High degree of electrical knowledge and proven experience.

     

    Project Management or project lead experience required. Must have a demonstrated ability to lead others in a relevant technical area.

     

    Must have strong mechanical knowledge, including pumps, valves and process piping.

     

    PLC Programming experience – Allen Bradley and Siemens

     

    Excellent customer service skills

     

    Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 70 lbs.

     

    Must have the ability to climb in and out of a vehicle repetitively, kneel, climb ladders, stand, sit, walk, lift & reach

     

    Must have a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record

     

    Must be able to follow all safety rules and wear all required safety equipment

     

    Must have the ability to travel to both domestic and international sites

     

    MS Office and MS Windows

     

    English – both written and verbal

     

    Bilingual skills such as Spanish or other will be beneficial

     

    Knowledge and understanding of hazardous material & chemicals associated with the water industry will be beneficial

     

    Require reading and understanding schematics, P&ID’s and other related drawings to the equipment and process.

     

    Require understanding of process chemistry and how it affects the overall quality and quantity generation

     

    Require the ability to rebuild or adjust valves, pump seals, oilers, etc. of sub-component equipment.

     

    Require understanding theory of operations of process measurement and analytical metrology.

     

    Have the skills to work on various low voltage systems and is qualified to work on these systems both cold and hot, 24 VDC, 120 VAC, 220 VAC, 208/277 VAC, 480 VAC.

     

    Redline all documents and drawings as required and submit for project file.

     

    Understanding and completed the training and maintain the training for Hazardous Energies, Working with Electricity, Fall Protection, Working with Hazardous Chemicals, Chemical Hygiene, Chemical Cleanup, Blood Borne Pathogens, and all other training required to safely execute the job description of a field engineer.

     

    Have good customer communication skills.

     

    Have a good and sound approach to multi-tasking and scheduling their time to efficiently start-up and commission the equipment in an orderly fashion without cutting corners and thoroughly diagnose and successfully determine that the system has been correctly commissioned.

     

    Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.

    $72,300.00 - $130,100.00
