Description:** **Overview

You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Advanced Programs team\. Our team is responsible for improving the producibility of early designs and creating manufacturing plans and processes to support the evolving demands of the Warfighter\.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring designs are producible and cost\-competitive\. You will evaluate designs, develop manufacturing readiness assessments, and create proposals to meet customer needs\.

Your responsibilities will include:

\* Evaluating designs and providing manufacturing feedback

\* Developing manufacturing readiness assessments and proposals

\* Creating manufacturing bill of materials \(MBOMs\) and assessing make or buy decisions

\* Supporting fabrication of early development builds and presenting at design and manufacturing reviews

\* Collaborating with cross\-functional teams, including Production Operations, Program Management, and Engineer and Technology stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline

• Must have a current Secret security clearance

• Ability to work in a fast\-paced and changing environment\.

• Experience with Manufacturing / Assembly / Production processes

• Experience with creating/reviewing work instruction

Desired Skills:

• CREO Design Experience or other CAD program

• Electrical background

• Ability to work independently and as a group with little guidance\.

• Experience with MPMLink

• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing \(GD&T\)

**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Part\-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
