Based in our Stafford, TX location, your responsibility you will be required to interpret design schematics, cut and shape dies and assemble the completed parts. You will also need to test the performance of the completed product.

To be successful as a tool and die maker, you should have in-depth knowledge of metalwork and engineering, a good eye for detail, and the ability to visualize structural components. A top-class tool and die maker is able to translate ideas into expertly crafted metal forms ready for the manufacturing process.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

+ **Interpretation and Design:** Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings, and design jigs and templates for fabrication aids.

+ **Precision Measurement:** Measure and mark metal stock accurately for machining.

+ **Machine Setup and Operation:** Set up and operate machine tools like drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines to cut and shape metal.

+ **Surface Finish:** Fill, grind, and shim metals to ensure smooth finishes.

+ **Assembly and Inspection:** Fit and assemble tool and die parts, inspecting finished products for defects and contour accuracy.

+ **Testing and Validation:** Conduct test runs with completed tools and dies to ensure their functionality and compliance with specifications.

For This Role, You Will Need:

+ Two to five years of experience in tool and die making

+ Experience working as a tool and die maker.

+ In-depth knowledge of machine tools and their uses with advanced trouble shooting skills.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.

+ Extensive experience with metalworking tools including drills, milling machines, grinders, and lathes.

+ Ability to lift heavy objects and operate large machinery.

+ Experience with quality control analysis.
