    About this role

    **Carrier HVAC in North America** has an opportunity for a **Junior Procurement Specialist** to join our team.

     

    The **Junior Procurement Specialist** will be **working onsite** out of the **Charlotte NC location** .

    Key Responsibilities

    + Develop supplier relationships for open communication channels

    + Own and manage suppliers’ relationship and the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (i.e. on-time delivery, past due purchase order) to ensure smooth site operations

    + Execute request for proposals, to ensure procurement of emergency materials or the site

    + Collaborate with global commodity team/leaders to develop category strategies

    + Respond and resolve factory and supplier issues or problems

    + Manage and process Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s)

    + Reconcile invoices (i.e. approved payments, resolve invoice discrepancies)

    + Monitor and analyze contract performance to ensure contractual obligations compliance

    Basic Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree

    + 3+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or finance

    + Driven employee with desire to grow in career

    + Strong analytical thinker

    + Listen and learn attentively to apply new knowledge effectively

    + English verbal oral and written communication

    + Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
