    We are currently seeking a Lead Cloud Architect (AWS)- US Citizen to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

    Job Description:

    The client is looking for IT service delivery, IT infrastructure, and IT lifecycle operations support for all of its sites and employees. Specifically, the client is looking for skilled IT professionals with specialized knowledge across various technology areas, including adjusting IT services as required based on needs, monitoring systems to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems, minimizing downtime, receiving 24/7 support, and improving IT security.

     

    The Lead Cloud Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the cloud infrastructure, defining cloud architecture standards, ensuring security and compliance, optimizing cloud costs, and driving innovation within the cloud environment, working closely with other technical teams to integrate cloud solutions across the enterprise. Key responsibilities include architecting scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure using best practices, consider factors like cost Procurement Sensitive Information For Official Use Only (FOUO) 39 optimization, performance and security. Monitors cloud usage, identifies cost savings opportunities and implements strategies to optimize cloud spend. Implements robust security measures, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and compliance standards. Expertise on leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate cloud infrastructure and management. Monitors cloud systems for performance issues, identifying bottlenecks, and troubleshoots complex cloud-related problems. Deep expertise in AWS and Azure, strong understanding of cloud computing principles including, network, storage, compute and security, experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, or a related field at time of proposal submission.

    + Education Equivalency: 6 additional years of positional work experience can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

    + Minimum 6 years of recent experience providing cloud engineering support and has maintained compliance with industry best practices including cloud native approaches using technologies like Containers, Kubernetes and Microservices.

    + M​​inimum 2 years of leadership experience managing and mentoring a team of cloud engineers and strong communications and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams.

    + Possess an AWS certification

    + **Must be a US Citizen who possesses a Public Trust Clearance and is up-clearable to a Top Secret Clearance.**
