Job Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Analyst Programmer, competency level 2, position for Enrollment Management Information Technology at Oregon State University ( OSU ).
The position supports the ongoing administration and development of the Technolutions Slate CRM used by Enrollment Management. Responsibilities include configuring forms, portals, reports, and automations; supporting integrations with systems like Banner; and collaborating with stakeholders to improve business processes through technology.
This position is part of a team that provides critical services to the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, Scholarships, and other university partners. The role involves systems development, user support, and process improvement, with an emphasis on functional and technical work within Slate.

Key Responsibilities
35% Slate Configuration and Administration
+ Configure and maintain Slate portals, forms, queries, populations, and user roles
+ Support data integrity, permissions, and user access
+ Collaborate with units to align configurations with university policies and business practices
35% Slate Systems Development and Troubleshooting
+ Develop custom workflows, forms, automations, and dashboards using Slate tools
+ Use SQL , HTML , and JavaScript to support Slate customization
+ Assist in troubleshooting data mapping and system behaviors
10% End-User Support and Training
+ Respond to Tier 2 help requests and support users across departments
+ Translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
+ Provide training and knowledge base documentation
10% Documentation and Reporting
+ Maintain clear technical documentation for Slate configurations and processes
+ Assist in documenting standard operating procedures for data and reporting workflows
5% Slate Instance Collaboration
+ Participate in shared configuration efforts across Slate instances at OSU
+ Contribute to code reviews and user community discussions
5% Other Duties as Assigned
+ Support operational testing during system changes or upgrades
+ Explore new Slate features and recommend improvements
+ Engage in process-improvement initiatives that enhance system reliability, security, and user satisfaction.
What We Require
This classification requires a basic foundation of knowledge and skills in systems analysis and related programming support functions generally obtained by a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or an equivalent amount of training and applied experience.
What You Will Need
+ Experience configuring and supporting CRM systems such as Slate
+ Working knowledge of SQL and basic scripting languages such as HTML or JavaScript
+ Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
+ Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
+ Strong organizational and written communication skill.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
What We Would Like You to Have
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS , or a related field
+ 3+ years of experience with Slate CRM configuration and support
+ Familiarity with Ellucian Banner or other higher ed SIS platforms
+ Knowledge of academic policies and business processes in higher ed
+ Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
Typically, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional work on weekends or evenings to provide post migration touch testing.
This position has the potential to work either on a hybrid or fully remote basis, contingent upon approval and compliance with OSU’sFlexible WorkArrangement Agreement (https://hr.oregonstate.edu/flexible-work/flexible-work-arrangement-agreement) .
