The Field Application Specialist is responsible for supporting the Cytiva Discovery business and providing pre- and post-sales support, product demonstrations, seminars, training and/or customer service activities supporting territory sales objectives.
This position reports to the Discovery Protein Research Application and Training Leader and is part of the Discovery Commercial organization working remotely to cover assigned territory.
What you will do:
+ Responsible for supporting the Cytiva Discovery business and providing pre- and post-sales support, product demonstrations, seminars, training and/or customer service activities supporting territory sales objectives.
+ Accountable for achieving regional revenue targets and overall business performance objectives by supporting Customers, Account Managers, and Sales Specialists within the Pacific Northwest Zone and the global team, as needed.
+ Provide advanced application driven technical presentations at customer sites and high-level scientific meetings.
+ Responsible for regional customer training, developing application driven training courses and demonstrations.
+ Continuously build and strengthen strong business relationships with KOL within the assigned regional SPR market.
Who you are:
+ B.S. degree in Life Sciences or Engineering field; MS degree preferred, PhD highly desirable.
+ Minimum of 3 years of post-Bachelor’s practical laboratory experience in molecular interactions, biophysical, and/or bioanalytical techniques.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Ability to travel – Up to 30-35% overnight travel
+ Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ A strong knowledge of the Biotech/Biopharmaceutical process development (PD) workflow.
+ Previous working knowledge of label-free assays and technology, SPR and or ITC and BLI.
+ Proven technical understanding and knowledge of antibody characterization, small molecules, fragment screening, and QC assay development.
+ Strong understanding of current Process Development strategies, challenges and dynamics impacting Drug Discovery and Development markets.

The salary range for this role is $107,000-$125,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
