    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Solar Performance Engineer to join our Energy Advisory team.

     

    Our Solar Energy Senior Analysts ensure a robust QA/QC process and high level of deliverables and conduct solar resource and solar energy estimates, with responsibilities for high quality assessments and responsive answers to client questions.

     

    The role can be hybrid from Albany, NY / Northbrook, IL / Houston, TX or remote in the US.

     

    + Complete timely and efficient high-quality solar energy analysis work.

    + Carry out pre-construction energy analyses, including:

    + Compilation, validation and analysis of meteorological data for solar resource assessments

    + Evaluation of project constraints and risks

    + Estimation of plant losses and calculation of assessment uncertainties

    + Generation of Energy Production Estimates

    + Creation of Energy Production Reports for Clients

    + Work effectively with colleagues to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products while working collaboratively with other teams and business units when needed.

    + Communicate effectively with clients on complex technical issues

    + University Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an accredited program plus 8 years directly related work experience.

    + Detailed knowledge of solar energy modelling tools like PVLIB and PVsyst.

    + Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline.

    + Experience in energy simulation of utility-scale battery energy storage systems.

    + Comfortable with programming in MATLAB, Python, and R. (Preferred)

    + Familiarity with IEC, UL, IEEE, and SunSpec Alliance standards relating to solar PV and grid integration. (Preferred)

    + Experience with SAM, HOMER, Helioscope, SolarGrade, PVcase, HOMER, PlantPredict and similar solar design software.

    + Working knowledge of industry issues, needs, and problems.

     

    Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $105,000 - $135,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary.

     

    This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
