+ Licensed Senior Physical Therapist Assistant, who will function in the capacity of Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Specialist (experience strongly preferred in safe patient handling)

+ 0800-1630 (no weekends, no holidays)
Overview
**Missouri Baptist Medical Center** , an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

The Rehab Administration department supports Missouri Baptist Medical Center's Therapy Services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Provides clinical resources, support and ancillary assistance for the physical therapy staff. Additionally, coordinates and leads efforts on behalf of the Physical Therapist Assistants in terms of their scope of practice and operational function within the hospital.
Responsibilities
+ Carries out established treatment plans, recognizing precautions, indications, and contraindications under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
+ Develops and instructs in home exercise programs; carries out appropriate emergency, safety, and infection control procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Education
+ Associate's Degree - APTA program
Experience
+ 2-5 years
Supervisor Experience
