The Writing and Rhetoric Program at the University of Virginia invites applications for two Assistant Professors of English, general faculty, beginning August 2025. This is a three-year, tenure-ineligible appointment with the possibility of renewal, contingent upon available funding, satisfactory performance, and need for the positions.
Responsibilities will include teaching three courses per semester, typically two first-year writing courses and one intermediate or advanced writing or rhetoric course, and departmental service.
