Job Summary:

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a full-time **experienced** Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) to join our practice in Fort Pierce, Florida and its Free-Standing Emergency Department in Vero Beach.

Qualified Candidates

+ Must be board-certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

+ Must have at least 12 months of current and consecutive Emergency Medicine experience as an APP

+ Must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Emergency Department Profile

+ Level II Trauma Center

+ 100,000 patient visits per year

+ 42-bed ED including 5 fast-track plus 5 monitored beds

+ 3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric

+ 70 hours total of physician coverage (main ED and Peds ED)

+ 60 hours of APP coverage

+ 26% admission rate

+ Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane

+ Interventional cardiac cath facility

+ code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability

+ Several dedicated ED glide scopes and ultrasound

+ 24-hour inhouse Hospitalist and Intensivists
