    Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

The Senior Sustainability Technical Program Manager supports delivery of innovative sustainability technologies from concept to production readiness. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with advanced cloud infrastructure solutions and work closely with the exceptional people who develop and implement them.

    Key job responsibilities

The Sustainability TPM applies their expertise to:

    • Develop the path for more sustainable engineering solutions and methods to reach maturity for global deployment

    • Evaluate the requirements and actions that close the gap between concept and readiness for these new technologies in our global infrastructure

    • Gain concurrence on production readiness items including integration requirements, financial sustainability, and supplier qualification and diversity

    • Plan for global and regional specifics, test and validation, deployment schedules, and similar production readiness actions

    • Collaborate across organizations (Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Operations) and be the linchpin for successful delivery of technologies

    As an ideal candidate, you:

    • Are great at solving problems

    • Possess experience managing challenging, engineering and highly-technical programs

    • Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Development, Finance, Operations)

    • Are comfortable addressing and resolving ambiguity -- building from a blank sheet of paper and working with brand new tech

    • Recognize and appreciate diversity of thought and perspectives

    • Demonstrates genuine enthusiasm for sustainability and environmental initiatives

    A day in the life

Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for engineering, procurement, finance, integration, and operation of these complex technology programs. You prioritize your activities to support product and technology developments, report key metrics, solve problems and blockers, and focus on the actions that are most impactful for program success.

If you meet these qualifications, exude passion, and enjoy the challenge of innovative projects at hyper-scale, this job is for you!
