    Description

    The Amazon Advertising Finance team seeks a highly motivated Finance Manager to support the Advertising Creative, Trust and Support Team. As a Finance Manager, you will work closely with the business to develop short and long-term financial models, manage goals, evaluate new business opportunities, and drive strategic business initiatives to support efficiencies and growth. Additional responsibilities include weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting of financial performance and ad-hoc business analysis support. This role requires a self-starter with strong financial modeling abilities, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail and ability to dive-deep, and someone that thrives in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.

     

    The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, this role requires strong business sense and capability to independently drive business partnership. Experience with big data using scalable analytics tools is a must.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Provide financial reporting on the performance of the business and drive weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews.

     

    - Identify and create business metrics to understand the operational and financial health of the business and drive improvement.

     

    - Manage the short term and long term financial planning process.

     

    - Partner closely with business leaders to provide financial analysis to drive business efficiencies and growth.

     

    - Perform ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

     

    - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

     

    - 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

     

    - 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

     

    - 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

     

    - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

     

    - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

     

    - MBA, or CPA

     

    - Knowledge of SQL/ETL

     

    - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
